The event was a success and it is going ahead for 2012. I can hardly believe that we have travelled over 13,000 kms in the car already this year and played 58 gigs, but the log book and the diary do not lie.

THE TAMWORTH TAPES album launch tour is going great. 8 Ball has covered 11,000 kms this year touring from Agnes Waters, QLD to Melbourne, VIC and back playing gigs.
We are in Tamworth tonight for St. Patrick's Day. We are getting ready for our Tamworth show tomorrow -- launching my new album, THE TAMWORTH TAPES, on Friday, March 18, starting at 8 pm at THE PUB, Gunnedah Road, Tamworth.
So tonight, we'll be roaming the pubs, clubs and streets of Tamworth, along with a craic (traveling Irish party) of other musicians (all wearing kilts), proudly supporting the Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery Appeal.

8 Ball Aitken has returned to Australia from touring in North America and Germany. He will be on the road in Australia for the remainder of 2010 through to the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Highlights of his USA adventures included performing at the Folk Alliance 2010 in Memphis, the Americana Festival, the Alabama Line show and the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.

It is July 1st in the Northern Hemisphere Summer good-time weather. I'm writing from Nashville, Tennessee, Music City, USA.
Looking back on the first half of 2010, it has been a busy one. We have played a mammoth Australian tour, including some great festivals like Blues On Broadbeach, Wandong Country Music, Cairns Blues and Urban Country Music Festival. My band and I performed our first month long German tour, and also a month long stint in the USA culminating in playing the Folk Alliance International gig in Memphis.
I am happy to to be songwriting, recording, filming and playing here in Nashville until we hit the road again.
If you see a car full of guitars and red-haired people fly past on the highway, wave to us. We have another monster Australian tour coming up when we touch down in September.
